Description

Denekamp is a nice and green town on the Dinkel to cycle through at your leisure. In the centre you will find, among other things, the thirteenth-century St. Nicholas Church. You will also cycle past the St. Nicholas Mill, a beautiful corn mill from 1859. Grain is also ground in the Borgelink Mill from 1818. This mill was owned by the Borgelink family from 1870 to 1992. You cycle a bit through the heathland and pine forests of the Lutterzand. Just over the border in Germany you will come through the bird-rich and damp grasslands that surround the centuries-old raised bog of the Syen Venn. Klooster Noord Deurningen is an old manor and a farmstead, which have probably existed since the beginning of the thirteenth century.
