Enjoy the County

This route takes you through the part of the Achterhoek that has been declared a National Landscape County. In this 20,000 hectare bocage landscape you will find ash and meadows, babbling brooks and wooded banks. Occasionally you drive past a characteristic farm. You will also pass Molen Ons Belang, a thatched flour mill from 1890. A little further on you will pass Pinetum De Belten where you can admire a collection of a thousand different types of conifers.

In nature reserve Het Grote Veld, a former heathland, you can smell the fragrant coniferous trees. On warm days, the deciduous trees provide welcome shade for a short picnic.
