Discover the Liemers

This route takes you through the Liemers. You drive through a landscape with vast fields, meadows, hedgerows, and small forests. The Hanseatic city of Doesburg is one of the few Dutch cities that has been preserved so perfectly: a real treat! Just before Didam, you will see De Korenbloem, a windmill dating from 1855. Further on stands Havezate De Luynhorst, which dates back to 1340. The noble house was rebuilt into a farm in 1788. In Didam, it is time for a pit stop. You can enjoy a drink on the cozy terrace at Jan en Jan eten en drinken. Further along, you can also stop for a snack at food garden Plok. Finally, Laag-Keppel lies on your route. Here you will see two old watermills and a castle whose origins lie in the fourteenth century.
