A day in the Antwerp Kempen

Do you want to spend a long day in nature? Then cycle this route from Reusel through the Antwerp Kempen. First you cycle through the Peelse Heide. You pass the Kleine and de Groote Cirkel that were an important landmark for pilots during the Second World War. In the vast forests around the Postel Abbey, the inhabited world seems far away. Conifers dominate the view, sometimes there are patches of heathland or fields. Along the green banks of the Dessel-Turnhout-Schoten Canal and the Bocholt-Herentals Canal the kilometers seem to pass by by themselves. Around Dessel and Retie you cycle through a mosaic of forest, heathland and wet nature reserves. Via the forests of the Hoge Vijvers you cycle to the end point: De Hollandershoeve.
