A day in the Antwerp Kempen

Do you want a long day in nature? Then cycle this route from Reusel through the Antwerp Kempen. First you drive through the Peelse Heide. You pass the Small and the Large Circles, which were an important landmark for pilots during the Second World War. In the vast forests surrounding Postel Abbey, civilization seems far away. Coniferous trees dominate the view, sometimes there are tufts of heathland or fields. Along the green banks of the Dessel-Turnhout-Schoten Canal and the Bocholt-Herentals Canal, the kilometers seem to pass by themselves. Around Dessel and Retie you cycle through a mosaic of forest, heathland and wet nature reserves. You drive through the forests of the Hoge Vijvers to the end point: De Hollandershoeve.
