A tour through the Overijsselse Vechtdal

East of Zwolle it is wonderfully peaceful to cycle through nature. During the first kilometers you will loosen your leg muscles as you cycle past vast grasslands and waterways. Just past Wijthmen you pass the forest of Landgoed De Horte. Further on you cross the Overijsselse Vecht. Just past junction 90 you pass De Stokte. From the top of this lookout tower you have a beautiful view over the Vechtdal. On the other side of the river you cycle through Vilsteren, a centuries-old estate village. Here you can take a look at the beautiful church, and you will also pass some Saxon farms. The route takes you along the forests of therechterse Veld, and you also pass the Den Alerdinck estate. At Grand Café De Wettering you can enjoy a delicious meal.
