A tour through the Vechtdal in Overijssel

East of Zwolle it is wonderfully quiet cycling through nature. The first few kilometres you will loosen up your leg muscles, while you cycle along vast grasslands and ditches. Just past Wijthmen you will pass the forest of Landgoed De Horte. Further on you will cross the Overijsselse Vecht. Just past junction 90 you will pass De Stokte. From the top of this lookout tower you will have a beautiful view over the Vechtdal. On the other side of the river you will cycle through Vilsteren, a centuries-old country estate village. Here you can take a look at the beautiful church, you will also pass some Saxon farms. The route takes you along the forests of the Rechterense Veld, you will also pass Landgoed Den Alerdinck.
