Find peace and quiet around Ootmarsum

Around Ootmarsum you can cycle peacefully through the beautiful nature of the Twente countryside. You will also pass through a number of villages, such as Lattrop. Here you will see the Oortman mill from 1910, further on is the Westerveld: a corn mill from 1864. Where Twente cities went along with the pace of the nations due to industrialization, Ootmarsum retained its historical character. Thanks to all those beautiful old buildings, it feels like you are cycling back in time. Just past Vasse you will cycle through the Springendal, a nature reserve nicknamed the 'Garden of the Netherlands'. You will make a shortcut through Germany, where you will cross the Dinkel. The last few kilometers you will cycle through the forest on a path that forms the border between Germany and the Netherlands. The route ends at Holiday Park Hofparken De Bergvennen.
