Find peace and quiet

In this part of Twente you cycle through an old ash landscape of groves, heathlands, meadows and fields surrounded by hedgerows. In the Lower Dinkeldal you drive through open meadows. Deciduous groves grow here and there on the edges. If you listen carefully, you can hear the call of the tree frog here in the spring. Many streams flow in the middle of the Springendal forest. On your route you will pass through some beautiful old villages and hamlets, such as Getelo, Hesingen, Oud Ootmarsum and Vasse. In the small point of land in northeastern Twente, wedged in by Germany, you will pass the characteristic seventeenth-century eastern Dutch manor of Huis te Breckelenkamp.
