A tour through three provinces

From junction 11 you drive along the road that forms the border between Friesland and Drenthe. Just past the first junction 50, this border on the right of the road meets that of Groningen, a real three-province point. Near Steenbergen you will see dolmen D01 on a hill along the cycle path, one of the most impressive dolmens in our country. America is a former mining colony that now consists of several beautiful farms and the cozy Camping Ronostrand, the start and end point of your route. There used to be few good roads in this swampy area. The redoubt, which has been restored just like the bridge and moat, is freely accessible. It is a beautiful cultural-historical monument, especially because it is one of the few existing fortresses from the Eighty Years' War.
