A rare forest

Forest is rare between Zwolle and Meppel. But the forest there is also very worthwhile. This route takes you from the Reestdal to the woods near Staphorst. After a coffee and something tasty at Brasserie De Boerderij, you can get on the saddle in good spirits. You first drive to the woods near Staphorst. There are some beautiful hamlets on your route, such as Den Huizen, which enjoys a protected village view. You will see many old thatched farms in this region. After disembarking, you can continue enjoying your peaceful holiday in the Reestdal at Brasserie & Camping Si-Es-An. Just outside the built-up area of Balkbrug you pass Molen de Star. This flour mill dates from 1848. In 1975 the mill was moved 500 meters to its current location.
