A tour of Rechteren Castle, Den Berg House and Den Aalshorst Estate

Your walking route starts at Restaurant De Witte Gans. With this estate route you can enjoy wide views in an idyllic river landscape, with estates and special nature. You first walk to Rechteren Castle, the only medieval castle that has been preserved in Overijssel. Via the Vecht, which meanders beautifully, you walk to the stately Landhuis Den Aalshorst. This country house from 1720 is surrounded by a real canal. In the countryside you can enjoy the many Saxon farms. You will also pass Huize Den Berg. This manor house dates from the fifteenth century, the current main building was built in 1705. It is beautifully situated in the sloping river landscape of the Vecht. It is part of a vast estate zone, together with the neighboring estates of Rechteren, Den Aalshorst and Hoonhorst.
