Tour Sallandse Heuvelrug and Wierdense Veld

Your route starts at Camperplaats Sploder Stea. Just below Haalre you will pass the white'Palthekasteeltje\\\' with its characteristic square tower, on top of the Sprengenberg. This was the holiday home and hunting lodge for the Palthe family, owners of the textile factory of the same name. The associated bath house is called the'witch house\\\' by the inhabitants of Haarlem! Then you drive through National Park Sallandse Heuvelrug to Hellendoorn. You cycle through the idyllic brook valley of the Regge to the Wierdense Veld, a vast nature reserve with heathland and raised moors. It's still old-fashioned quiet here. You have the feeling of taking a big leap back in time here, especially when you see the sheep passing by. Then you drive through National Park Sallandse Heuvelrug, over the Holterberg.
