Tour of Zwaansbroek Park near Zwaanshoek

Nature here is still developing, which is clearly visible in this young forest. Every time you come here something has changed. It is fascinating to see how people and nature influence each other here. The new park connects the Zwaansbroek, Boseilanden and Venneperhout parks. The 250 hectare site was planted with forest in 2003, now you see a nice varied area with natural water features, rugged fields and playing fields. You walk back along the edge of Zwaanshoek. It is named after the large number of swans that appeared in this area in the first years after the lake was drained.
