Farmer's Museum

Do you want to know how the farmers lived in the Achterhoek about a hundred years ago? Do that at the nostalgic Boerenmuseum De Neeth. You can view a fully equipped farmhouse kitchen and bedroom from 1930, as well as various old farm utensils. The museum is located in a private yard where guided tours of the dairy farm are also given. There is play equipment for the children. Please check the opening hours on their website. Just before Harreveld is the belt flour mill'Hermien\\\'. You cannot ignore this landscape element because the mill proudly stands on top of a hill.

Backcountry traditions
The Achterhoek has many old traditions that are still honored. Who knows, you may just be here around one of these days and you can experience something like: carbide shooting on New Year's Eve or eating knees (waffles) on New Year's Eve, the Easter fire or walking with a Palmpas stick. Also fun are the shooter parties and the associated flagging. You can also visit one of the many festivals. In the always cozy Lichtenvoorde you have Black Cross in July, a combination of music and motocross, and in September the dahlia parade.
