Cycling through the heart of Salland

This route takes you through the heart of Salland. A region full of peace, natural beauty and historic estates. At junction 90 you pass De Stokte. From the top of this lookout tower you have a beautiful view over the Vechtdal. You cross the river with a ferry. Soon the hayfield makes way for forests. You drive quite a bit through the Rechtense Veld. This was once a vast sand drift, now you cycle between fragrant conifers. You pass through the town of Heino, further on you pass the Colckhof Estate. Lovers of romantic English gardens can stop here for a beautiful walk along winding paths between rhododendrons and playful water features. Just below Dalfsen you pass Huize Den Berg, a manor from 1705.
