Through the Vechtdal from Dalfsen to Ommen

This route takes you through the Vechtdal between Dalfsen and Ommen. You can soon climb De Stokte: a lookout tower where from the top you have a beautiful view of the meadows, forests and meandering Vecht. You can also fully enjoy the natural beauty from the saddle. And the peace and quiet; you can easily downshift here while cycling. You cycle through Varsen, a hamlet where there are several authentic hall farms. In Ommen you drive a bit along the Vechtkade, after which you cross the river and drive through the wooded area to Vilsteren, a picturesque estate village where you see a mix of stately monumental buildings and old farms.
