Cycling through hospitable Salland around Raalte

Your route starts at Camping De Heidebloem Recreatie in Haarle. The view from this campsite on the Sprengenberg with the white Palthekasteeltje is beautiful. To the southeast of Raalte lies the nature reserve Boetelerveld. Here you will find the last piece of moist heathland that used to cover all of Salland. Between Raalte and Heeten you cycle past Havezate Schoonheten. This beautiful country house from 1600 is still inhabited by the Bentinck family today. The family colours blue and white can be seen everywhere on the estate: from the shutters of the farms to the dovecote in the field. Next to the beautiful havezate are original coach houses and stables that are currently used as homes. Take a break along the way at Het Wapen Van Wesepe!
