Tour of Holterberg and Sallandse Heuvelrug

Your route starts at Camperplaats Sploder Stea. From afar, the Sallandse Heuvelrug is clearly visible. It's an unmissable moraine, around 70 meters high. The landscape on this dry sand ridge is so diverse in terms of flora and fauna that you'll almost feel like you're in another country. By bike, you're just a few minutes from the Sallandse Heuvelrug. Then you begin the ascent of the Haarlerberg and Noetselerberg. Your views over the heathlands are endless. In the southern part of the park, you'll find coniferous forests and—very typical of this area—juniper and lingonberry. The charming and touristy Holten lies at the foot of the famous Holterberg.
