Walking through Napoleon's trail

This route takes you through the rolling forests of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. An area where the wealthy had their country estates built and where a French general founded an army camp in 1804. Now you walk through a mix of old deciduous trees and conifers. One moment the path is nice and wide, the next it meanders between the trees. Quiet here really means quiet. A great way to leave the hustle and bustle of everyday life behind, or to catch up with friends and family in peace and quiet. The route passes Woudschoten Hotel & Conference Center, a beautiful hotel where you can spend the night comfortably and peacefully in the greenery. Also a nice place to take a break with a coffee or lunch!
