Walking through Hoenderloo and the Schenkenshul

This route takes you through Hoenderloo first. This village was created in 1839 through the efforts of Reverend Heldring. Among other things, the Heldringkerk was built on his initiative: a striking white church that was completed in 1858. Further on you walk on an unpaved path under the trees, on the right you look out over grassy meadows. At junction 16 you walk onto the gently sloping heathland of nature reserve De Schenkenshul. A nice quiet path where you can enjoy the natural beauty at your leisure. After a while you walk through a dense deciduous forest, after which you walk back to Hoenderloo on a quiet path past villas and farms. At Brasserie Delicat you are welcome for a special culinary experience.
