Nice pedaling in the Ardennes

The Belgian Ardennes are only a few hours drive from the Netherlands, but here you immediately get the feeling of being abroad. This route takes you through the woods, hills and charming villages in the heart of the Ardennes, close to the French border.

Charming village squares
You pass through villages such as Gochenée, Niverlée and Vaucelles. The largest town is Doische, which lies on the border with France. All villages exude that typical tranquility of the Ardennes. You will find old churches and village squares to stretch your legs on a terrace while enjoying a drink and snack.

Extensive forests
The silence in the woods is sometimes deafening. In terms of size, the forests, which actually extend into France, are not inferior to the largest Dutch nature reserves. You have a good chance of encountering a deer or wild boar here. Where the landscape opens up for a moment, you have beautiful views from the tops of the hills.
