Description

Via Zevenhoven and Noordeinde you drive to De Hoef, a village on the Kromme Mijdrecht. Here you can see, among other things, the monumental Pondskoekersluis and the Antonius van Padua, a beautiful church from 1921. Cycling along the path along the meandering river, you look out at old farms and polders that have subsided due to centuries of settlement. Further on you drive through Spengen and the characteristic cope landscape with its narrow and elongated plots. Kockengen enjoys a protected village view. Abrona Kunst & Koffie is located in an old church. Enjoy a nice lunch here before cycling to the Kockengense Molen, a polder mill from 1675. Finally, you cycle along the meandering Meije and the Nieuwkoopse Plassen, one of the last extensive low-moor areas in the Netherlands.
