Walking through Buren and the countryside

Oranjestad Buren is perfect for a walk. Put on your sturdy shoes and discover the rich cultural history. First you cross the Korne, a branch of the Linge. You continue on a quiet road along the banks of the Korne and past fruit orchards, after which the route bends and you continue on an unpaved path. It is wonderfully quiet here for a walk along a wide ditch and fields, ideal for catching up with your fellow hikers. You also pass one of the Betuwe vineyards. Back in Buren you experience the atmosphere of times gone by. You walk over the old rampart, on the left is the Marechaussee Museum, which is housed in a building from 1618. Further on you pass the fifteenth-century Lambertus Church. The route ends at De Pannekoekenbakker Buren.
