Cycling to Wijk bij Duurstede and Maurik

Cycling through the Betuwe is always fun. The beautiful landscape and quiet roads ensure that you can relax here wonderfully. Via the Prinses Marijkesluizen you cross the Amsterdam-Rhine Canal. A little later you stand with your bike on a ferry to cross the Lek, after which you cycle through the historic city of Wijk bij Duurstede. In the Kromme Rijnstreek you cycle through the area of Langbroek with its elongated plots and castles. Further on you can take a look at Kasteel Amerongen, after which you cross the Rhine by ferry. In Maurik you pass De Beijenkorf, a corn mill from 1873. Around Kasteel Zoelen you experience the atmosphere of times gone by, just like in Buren. Here you can have a drink on a terrace at De Pannekoekenbakker Buren.
