The Castle Route

In the North Sjælland region you will find the 75 kilometer long Castles Route. You cycle along the crème de la crème of the royal castles. Kronborg Castle in Helsingør, is known as Shakespeare's Hamlet Castle. Then there is Fredensborg Palace - the Versailles of Denmark and Frederiksborg Palace in Hillerød. The cycle route follows smaller country roads through an area where royalty used to hunt. Splendor, grandeur, allure of yesteryear, but above all a wealth of history.
