Cycling around Beesel

Just outside Beesel you drive on a quiet path along the meadows and the rippling Maas. A nice start to your route, in this beautiful landscape you can relax. At junction 99 you cycle through Ronkenstein, a hamlet consisting of eighteenth-century buildings. A little later you drive a few kilometers on the Prinsendijk, which forms the border between the Netherlands and Germany. In the middle of the Bosberg nature reserve, you cross the Swalm, a small river that flows into the Maas. Further on you can see the ruins of castle Ouborch on the bank. De Grauwe Beer is a corn mill on the banks of the Maas, from 1614 to 1891 it was located in Zaandam. The route ends in the historic heart of Beesel with a terrace at Mert 5.
