Description
A cycling route of 51 km. Cycling through the North Holland polder landscape with its wide views and many watercourses to the historic cheese city of Alkmaar makes this route beautiful. From mid-April to early May, this route can certainly be called 'colourful', as that is when the flower bulbs bloom at their best.
On the way back you can stop at Hortus Bulborum in Limmen (open between April 6 and May 16). The Hortus Bulborum is the only flower garden in the world where more than 4,000 different historic spring-flowering bulbous plants bloom.
You cycle back to the campsite via Bakkum via the Zeeweg. Would you like to go to the beach? Then cycle straight ahead at the roundabout towards Castricum Aan Zee. You can also cycle towards our campsite via the dune area, then follow the signs 'çamping Geversduin/Heemskerk\\\'.
