From Renesse along the Oosterschelde

With this route you will experience a rich, varied day full of history and nature. From Bicycle Rental Renesse you first drive past the old village church and Slot Moermond. From Serooskerke you cycle along the Prunje, the oldest polder on the island. The former swamp has been returned to nature thanks to the'Tureluur\\\' Plan and is now a beautiful bird paradise. Further on you cross the Oosterschelde via the Zeeland Bridge. On Noord-Beveland you cycle through the picturesque Colijnsplaat and look out over the rippling Oosterschelde water. You then drive over the Oosterscheldekering back to Schouwen-Duiveland. In Burgh-Haamstede you pass the place where a ring rampart once stood to defend against plundering Normans. The last part of your route you look out over the Vroongronden: a semi-open dune landscape with a few creeks.
