Mill route through the Mosbeek Valley

Your route starts at Camping Dal Van De Mosbeek & Theeschenkerij De Manderie. You walk through the quiet forests on the Galgenberg, an almost 70 meter high hill that 'owes' its name to the executions that took place here in the Middle Ages. You will also see tufts of heather here and there. Between the Mosbeek and the Galgenberg you can enjoy the rolling Twente esker landscape. Here you will pass several characteristic farms, which have managed to withstand the ravages of time beautifully. Real gems are the water mills, the Molen van Bels and the Molen van Frans. One is a restaurant, the other an information center. They are beautifully situated in the Dal van de Mosbeek. A great region for hikers thanks to the variety of landscapes and the network of hiking trails that you will find here!
