Your route starts at Hotel - Appartementen Hoeve de Plei. Gulpen is known for the striking church tower to which St. Peter's Church was once attached. Just outside Gulpen you cycle past Groenendaal: a large nineteenth-century farm that was once a castle. You cycle to the Bemelerberg nature reserve. In addition to beautiful views, you will find many special flowers and plants here, a feast for the eyes! Further on you pass the Sint Gerlach castle, which was built as a monastery in the twelfth century. It was not until the nineteenth century that the monastery was converted into a castle. De Geul is one of the most beautiful stream valleys in the country. The water here meanders beautifully through the greenery. Especially near Stokhem, the stream makes enormous loops, beautiful to see!
