Tour of Loevestein and Linge

Your route starts at BY't VEER. The route first passes the beautiful centuries-old Loevestein Castle. This fortress is located in a strategic location, where the rivers Maas and Waal continue together as the Boven-Merwede. There is beautiful nature all around, making the entire area a beautiful, authentic whole. A ferry takes you across the Waal, near the castle. You have a beautiful view of the castle from the water! Further on you pass through the Lingebos recreational area. Afterwards you can enjoy cycling along the Linge. From the dike you look out over the flower-rich grasslands and fruit orchards along the river. The area is known for fairytale orchards and picturesque dike villages. Get off at the imposing monument Fort Asperen, which is part of the New Dutch Waterline!
