Tour of Nijmegen, Berg en Dal and Groesbeek

Your route starts at De Hazelaarshof. This route takes you through the wooded and hilly surroundings of Groesbeek in Gelderland. Near the village you will discover De Bruuk, a swamp area that is fed by seepage water from the surrounding hills. It partly consists of the blue grassland, rare in the Netherlands, and is therefore protected as a nature reserve. You have a beautiful view of Groesbeek and the vineyards from the Sint Jansberg with its wooded slopes and watercourses. You pick up part of the Groesbeekse Bos, which is located on a moraine. At De Heksendans you can eat a delicious pancake on the terrace, after which you take a tour through the historic heart of Nijmegen. In the Ooijpolder you can enjoy the peace and nature of the floodplains.
