Tour of Sneek from Grou

Your route starts at Sailing Center Grou Meet&Eat. Grou is a beautiful old town on the Pikmeer, one of the Frisian Lakes. You can admire, among other things, the Romanesque thirteenth-century St. Peter's Church. Then you cycle along the Sneekermeer with all its sailing boats to Sneek. Be sure to stop here to soak up the atmosphere. One of the oldest sights is the Martini Church, which was built in the eleventh century with tuff stone on a mound. The current building dates from 1498. In the bell house next to the church there are still two centuries-old bells from 1466 and 1543. In the village of IJsbrechtum you pass the Epemastate. The stins originally dates from 1625. Through small Frisian villages such as Reduzum you meander through the vast countryside, along various canals.
