Round Texel from Den Helder

Your route starts at Camperplaats Jachtwerf Willemsoord. You can get on the boat to Texel in no time. Here you drive through National Park Duinen van Texel, a nice alternation of dunes and forest. On Texel you will find a few streets full of beautiful historic buildings, such as the Hogereind in De Waal. De Waal has a special history: the village was by the sea until 1613... After the Waalenburg polder was drained, it was located in the middle of Texel. Via the nice Den Burg you cycle to the sheep on the Hoge Berg. The beautiful Skillepadje leads you through the meadows to Oudeschild, where you can take a tour through the village and along the harbor. You cycle back along the bird boulevard on the Wadden Sea, with numerous viewpoints.
