Round Niftrik

We walk from Hoogeerd over the Maasdijk to Niftrik , or rather a little past the last exit to Niftrik. Just before the A50 bridge over the Maas you can turn right and a little further up via a staircase. At the top we turn right a short distance parallel to the A50 towards Ewijk. We follow the' Cycle path A50 East' and cross the bridge over the Ekenseweg . If we continue to follow the road, we will arrive at Ekenseweg . There we turn left, into Niftrik .
At the end of the Ekenseweg we turn right into the Dorpsstraat , back towards the dike. Just before the dike, however, turn left into the Kerkstraat . The name already gives it away, that is the street where the church is: the H.Damianus Church . Usually the Dutch churches are not accessible, but this time Gijs van Dijk will make sure that we can also enter the church. After our church visit we continue into the Kerkstraat until the Gildestraat . There we turn left. At the end of that street turn right again into the Dorpsstraat .
When we walk out of this state, we arrive at the Lagestraat . Presumably so called, because it runs parallel to the dike, but lower (...?). 

About 300 meters further we turn right into the Niftriksestraat in the direction of the dike. At the top, walking left via the dike, we turn left 100 meters further into the Hoogeerdsestraat and walk past the back of the hotel-restaurant-halls complex Hoogeerd back to our starting point.

The route is just under 5 kilometers.
