Description
Departure from the Lorenztkade in E direction. Pass under railway bridge. Follow the canal (pedestrian path) and later Beatrixstraat. Pass under the road bridge and immediately take the path on the LEFT. A little further on you will come to the cycle path on the Overijsselseweg. Follow this road and directions towards Knpt 57/station.
Knpt 62, 26 lead you to the city center of Leeuwarden.
You leave the city via Knpt 91, 64, 63, 17 and 99 towards Knpt 31 (=9.2 km)
Those who do not want to go via the Leeuwarden City Center, go from Lorentzkade in a W direction and follow Lorentzkade and Zwettestraat until the Rotonde (Marshallweg). 3/4 roundabout (= turn left) and via CYCLING PATH towards Knpt 31. (= 2.2km)

Further on you will pass the former Liauckama State (private property). The 17th century gatehouse is still there. On the site of the State there is now a head-neck-trunk farm (1862)
Then it is not far to Waddendijk (Sedyk), which you follow until Roptasyl
After the hamlet of De Blynse you arrive at the hamlet of Almenum, which has been completely swallowed up by Harlingen.
Knpt 62, 26 lead you to the city center of Leeuwarden.

(after Knpt 49) Kingmatille Just before Kingmatille, take the Keimpetille cyclist ferry across the Van Harinxma Canal (April 24-May 29: from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.). Are you too early? Then you can go from Knpt 49 via Knpt 23 (Wjelsryp) and 3 (Westerein and Lutjedollum) to 5 (Franeker). To visit Franeker, cycle to Knpt 9 (center).

Ultimately you cycle along the Van Harinxma Canal, the parking lots of the Vlieland/Terschelling Ferry Service and into the hustle and bustle of Harlingen.
Over the Tsjerk Hiddessluis Bridge and straight into the historic Noorderkwartier.
Continue to Knpt 51 at the Zuiderhaven.
THEN: towards KNPT 85, over the railway and further until you reach the (Nieuwe Willems) harbour.
