From Heerenveen to Zwolle

From Station Heerenveen you cycle via Wolvega and a beautiful peat area to De Blesse. From here to Steenwijk and on to the Weerribben-Wieden nature reserve. In Giethoorn you can take the exit to the tourist center. If you continue cycling, the canal is full of fishermen and day trippers with their campers when the weather is nice. Then to De Blauwe Hand where your bike path is, as it were, in the lake. At café De Blizzard in Zwartsluis you can have a great lunch on the water. Then cycle through the lovely Hanseatic town of Hasselt to the IJssel, after which you cycle into Zwolle. you can return to Heerenveen by train.
