Description
With this cycle route through central Drenthe you get to know the province well. You will become acquainted with the typical Drenthe green village of Westerbork and the beautiful surroundings.
Westerbork
You cycle through the Heart of Drenthe, a mosaic of forests, heaths and flowery stream valleys. It is wonderfully quiet here, ideal for a relaxing day.
Grolloo
Just after junction 83 you will pass the Kleine Moere water plan. On and around this lake is the first and one of the largest climbing parks in the Netherlands: a challenge full of peaks! Grolloo is a beautiful esdorp, where you can admire some beautiful Saxon farms. Further on you arrive in the Grolloërveen where you see an old-fashioned tjasker that used to be used for draining fens for peat cutting.
