Baarn: Walking through the green west

This route is offered by the ANWB. From Baarn you can take a varied walking tour through vast forests and beautiful estates. In the 18th century, the Baarnse Bos was provided with stately avenues and symmetrical shapes in accordance with the French baroque style. When the English landscape style became fashionable a hundred years later, the estate was transformed into a romantic country estate with winding paths. The nearby Groeneveld estate also had to make a natural impression with its tall trees, bridges and meandering streams. During this walk you will discover that many of these romantic paths still exist.
