Tour of Giethmen, Archem and Hancate

Your route starts at Recreatiebedrijf De Huttert. The first part of the route takes you to Lemele and Ommen. You cycle through the Lemelerberg nature reserve. This area is the largest nature reserve in Overijssel with small heathlands, deciduous forests and drifting sand plains. You will also find the Lemelerberg here, a hill of 78 meters high. There is an old manor on the Het Laer estate. It is unknown exactly when the house was built, but it was first mentioned in 1382. Back then it was nothing more than a glorified farm with a special gentleman's room for the owner. In 1742 the manor was renovated in classicist style. At the Steile Oever moraine, near the fish ladder in Hancate, you can enjoy a great view of the Reggedal.
