Tour Giethmen, Archem and Hancate

Your route starts at Recreational Company De Huttert. The first part of the route takes you to Lemele and Ommen. You cycle through the Lemelerberg nature reserve. This area is the largest nature reserve in Overijssel with small heathlands, deciduous forests and drifting sand plains. You will also find the Lemelerberg here, a hill of 78 meters high. An old manor house is located on the Het Laer estate. It is unknown when exactly the house was built, but it was first mentioned in 1382. At that time it was no more than a refined farm with a special manor house for the owner. In 1742 the manor house was renovated in a classicist style. At the Steile Oever moraine, near the fish ladder in Hancate, you can enjoy a wonderful view of the Reggedal.
