Geestmerambacht Tour: along the water

Geestmerambacht is beautifully embedded in the landscape, on the transition between the edge of the beach and agricultural land. This recreation and nature area consists of a lot of water, but you will also find a park-like landscape where you can enjoy walking and cycling. Along the way you will enjoy a lot of variety with bushes, reeds and meadows full of flowers. You will encounter all kinds of plant species and the fauna is also well represented: you can just come across a Scottish Highlander! Or maybe you will find a buzzard, kingfisher or fox on your path. There are many prey animals living here, such as mice and worms. In the autumn, the dead trees provide many beautiful mushrooms. This route takes you along the large recreational lake Zomerdel.
