Description
On the green banks of the Maas you will discover Steyl. Here you will find various sights, such as the neo-Gothic St. Rochus Church from 1866, which houses the Limburg Schutterij Museum. Then you cross the Maas by ferry to Baarlo with its beautiful castles such as Kasteel De Berckt. The Saint Anthony of Padua Church in Blerick was blown up by the Germans at the end of the Second World War. A new church was not built until 1962. Get off in Venlo to get acquainted with the renovated Maasboulevard. The Krickenbecker Seen are four lakes created by peat extraction around Krickenbeck Castle, in the valley of the Nette river. This nature reserve is one of the oldest and largest in North Rhine-Westphalia.
