Arnhem, Gelderland, The Netherlands
Hiking route: 3173933
Provided by: Groots Genieten
From here you walk to the Groot Warnsborn estate, built on a moraine. Here you will find B14 - Arnhem - Warnsborn estate. It was first mentioned in the 15th century. It grew into a stately country house with a chapel, coach house, park and orangery. During WWII the country house went up in flames, but was rebuilt afterwards. You also walk over the Schaapsdrift. The straight route of the heathland strip is not so strange: this used to be the Harderwijkerweg, as can be seen on a map from 1580. You can see right away that sheep can walk there from the swing gates you encounter along the way. You walk back straight through the woods.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
