Tour of Bronkhorst, Doesburg and Veluwezoom

Your route starts at EuroParcs Marina Strandbad. Via the course of the IJssel you cycle through a beautiful scenic landscape to Doesburg. In the historic center of this old Hanseatic city you will find De Waag, a beer house that was put into use as early as 1478. After crossing the IJssel, you cycle into De Veluwezoom National Park, a hilly area with an unprecedented diversity of coniferous and deciduous trees and heath species. This is the habitat of red deer, wild boar, badgers, kingfishers and nightjars. With approximately 160 inhabitants and city rights since 1344, Bronkhorst is the smallest town in the Netherlands. It has more of the appearance of a picturesque village, with authentic farms and a beautiful location in the middle of farmlands. Be sure to get off here!
