Description
Get to know Turnhout and the immediate surroundings. On this short cycle route you mainly cycle through the city of Turnhout, although you also visit the town of Vosselaar and the piece of heathland outside it.
National Museum of Playing Cards
This bike tour starts right in the center. Here you can take a look at St. Peter's Church on the Grote Markt or the National Playing Card Museum. Printed playing cards originally come from Turnhout and the city is one of the most important producers of these. In the museum you will learn more about the history, use and manufacture of playing cards. You will also find printing presses and graphic equipment including a gigantic steam engine. Then you cycle through the City Park. A wonderfully relaxing place with a large pond, several benches where you can rest and terraces.

From here you cycle to Vosselaar, where you will find a remarkable drifting dune in the middle of the center. You cycle back into the center of Turnhout via a cycle path along the canal. Here you can sit on a terrace to relax while enjoying a snack or a drink. Or visit one of the many sights within walking distance.
