Looking for a cycling route through a characteristic area? Around the Twente village of Vasse you cycle through an old ash landscape of groves, heathlands, meadows and hedgerows. You hardly drive through built-up areas, so you really experience a day in nature.

Valley of the Mosbeek
A large part of the route takes you through the rolling Mosbeek Valley. Hills, streams and valleys determine the atmosphere in this nature reserve. Around you you see trees such as oak, sweet cherry, hornbeam and ash. It is green and fresh here, but also so quiet that it feels like you are abroad. Just north of Mander you cycle along the Galgenberg, the top of which is almost seventy meters.

Saxon farms
You start this route in the hamlet of Mander near De Schure. On this farm you can spend the night in an attractive and comfortable family home in the middle of nature. While cycling you will see more of these types of characteristic buildings, such as Saxon farms. Would you like to explore the Twente countryside further? Historic water mills
Just past Geesteren you pass the Grote Geesterse Molen, a flour mill from 1867. This mill was used between 1901 and 1995 by several generations of millers from the Kienhuis family. At the end of the route you can admire two water mills dating from 1725 located on the Molenbeek. First you pass the Molen van Bels where there is an exhibition about Overijssel windmills. A little further on is the Mill of Frans, which houses the visitors center of the Dal van Mosbeek. Both water mills once served as a grist and paper mill.
