A nature tour around Bergen op Zoom

Your route starts at Boerderij Den Hof. You cycle south through a varied landscape of green suburbs, forests, meadows and fields. You cycle a bit through the forests of Landgoed De Wouwse Plantage, one of the most beautiful nature reserves in the Netherlands. You see beautiful old deciduous trees, but also Scots pines. Then you discover the Wildertse Duintjes: a varied nature reserve with forests, open spaces and bushes. How quiet it is here! On the edge of Huijbergen you pass the Johanna, a corn mill from 1862. Gradually you cycle up the Brabantse Wal. At the bird-rich Markiezaatsmeer you can take a look at the visitor centre De Kraaijenberg. Get off and stroll through the picturesque centre of Bergen op Zoom, here you can see the fourteenth-century Gevangenpoort.
