Nature tour around Bergen op Zoom

Your route starts at Den Hof Farm. You drive south through a varied backdrop of green suburbs, forests, meadows and fields. You cycle a bit through the woods of De Wouwse Plantage Estate, one of the most beautiful nature reserves in the Netherlands. You will see beautiful old deciduous trees, but also Scots pines. Then you discover the Wildertse Duintjes: a varied nature reserve with forests, open spaces and shrubs. How quiet it is here! On the edge of Huijbergen you pass the Johanna, a flour mill from 1862. You gradually cycle onto the Brabantse Wal. On the bird-rich Markiezaatsmeer you can take a look at the De Kraaijenberg visitor center. Get off the bus and stroll through the picturesque center of Bergen op Zoom, where you will see the fourteenth-century Prison Gate.
