Tour of Oirschot and Oirschotse Heide

Your route starts at De Rozephoeve, between the Kampina and the Oisterwijks Bossen & Vennen, two beautiful nature reserves. The picturesque town of Oirschot has more than 300 monuments. This place in the rich area of the Brabantsche Kempen has a protected villagescape. Enjoy a moment of peace on the market square or cycle from there to Nieuwstraat, where you can admire a centuries-old red beech planted in 1764. You cycle to the Oirschotse Heide via the private De Baest Estate. In the middle of the forest below Spoordonk you will find the Chapel of the Sacred Oak, a particularly atmospheric spot. In 1406, two shepherds are said to have found a statue of Mary in the De Beerze stream and placed it in an oak tree.
