MATARAM ESTATE
The Mataram estate is located southwest of Dalfsen in Emmen. The estate consists of two parts, the historic country estate with surrounding grounds south of the Poppenallee and over 20 hectares of leased agricultural land near the Vecht.
Particulars The entire estate is located in the municipality of Dalfsen and measures over 80 hectares. Many remains of the 19th century construction of the country estate under the direction of the Utrecht landscape architect Hendrik van Lunteren can still be seen on Mataram. Examples include water features and artificial elevations in the terrain. Mataram includes a tenant farm (dairy farm) that uses the agricultural land on the estate. The estate has been classified under the Nature Conservation Act since 1934 and is a protected historical country estate within the meaning of the Monuments Act. Maintenance is aimed at preserving the landscape. Forestry occupies only a modest place on Mataram. DE HORTE ESTATE
Feel the friendly atmosphere of the De Horte estate, home to Landschap Overijssel. A versatile estate, laid out in the early 17th century in predominantly French style. The straight, straight lanes are a reminder of that time. Surprising vistas were created later after the planting of free-standing trees and winding paths. The friendly country house is accompanied by a gardener's house, the farm 'De Horteboer' and the former billiard room 'het Witte huis'. Sit down in the old French garden and breathe in the peace of the past.

On the south side of the estate lies the winding Emmertochtsloot with wet and dry poor hayfields. From the lookout tower on the estate you have a beautiful view over the hayfields and the Emmertochtsloot where deer can regularly be seen.
