Esbeek, Poppel, Gorp and Roovert Tour

The beautiful Vrijthof square in Hilvarenbeek is a typical example of a Franconian market square. In Esbeek, you'll pass the St. Adrian Church and the adjacent parsonage, both national monuments. Stop for a lookout tower on the Neterselse Heide! Then, cycle a short distance across the De Utrecht Estate. It was developed as an investment property in 1898 by the life insurance company De Utrecht. From Poppel in Belgium, follow the beautifully meandering Rovertse Leij through the woods. You'll cycle back across the Gorp and Roovert Estate, a mosaic of deciduous and coniferous forests, fields, and meadows. In Gorp, you'll see a magnificent monumental hunting lodge from 1870. Along the way, stop at De Bockenrijder and Kerkzicht in Diessen!
