Tour of Esbeek, Poppel, Gorp and Roovert

Your route starts at Henk Baars Bike-Sports Bicycle Rental, Sales & Maintenance. The beautiful Vrijthof of Hilvarenbeek is a typical example of a Franconian market field. In Esbeek you pass the Holy Adrianus Church and the adjacent parsonage, two national monuments. Get off at the Neterselse Heide for the lookout tower! Then you drive a bit across Landgoed De Utrecht. It was mined in 1898 as an investment by the life insurance company De Utrecht. From Poppel in Belgium you follow the beautifully meandering Rovertse Leij through the forest. You cycle back through the Gorp en Roovert Estate, a mosaic of deciduous and coniferous forests, fields and grasslands. In Gorp you will see a beautiful monumental hunting lodge from 1870. Stop off at De Bockenrijder and Kerkzicht in Diessen along the way!
