Tour Heidepark and Vredelust

Your route starts at Villa Vredelust. The villa was built in 1884, but strangely enough it is located on Landgoed Heidepark and not on Vredelust. Heidepark is laid out in the English landscape style, with a pond and winding paths. Also note the beautiful free-standing oaks! Landgoed Vredelust is part of the Vredelust and Heidepark area. This former estate of the Tilburg textile barons stretches between the Bredaseweg and the Gilzerbaan. The area to the east of the Pompstationweg, a road with real cobblestones, is the Heidepark estate, to the west you will find Vredelust. The Vredelust estate is also laid out in the English landscape style with the typical winding paths. You will find a varied forest with pines, oaks and huge beeches. Here grows the lily of the valley and the March violet.
